Introducing Playaway Launchpad

Launchpads are the first learning tablet designed specifically for libraries and kids. Launchpads are preloaded with educational apps, 100% secure, and made of durable materials. Each tablet is equipped with a set of themed math, science or reading apps aimed at a particular age range. Launchpads are built with a hardy plastic case and rubber frame for a worry-free digital learning experience.

The East Bonner County Library District now has two Launchpads available for in-house checkout as part of a pilot program at the Sandpoint Branch. Both are STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) themed. Build It Fix It Fun is for kids aged 3 to 5 and I Think I Can is geared for ages 5 to 7. The tablets are for in-library use only and can be checked out for one hour from the Sandpoint Library‚Äôs Circulation Desk. Depending on popularity, more may be added to the collection.

Libraries are transforming, becoming technology education hubs. Playaway Launchpads allow a child to experience using a tablet regardless of their technology experience or financial access to digital devices.
